Stable high power deep-uv enhancement cavity in ultra-high vacuum with fluoride coatings

We demonstrate the superior performance of dielectric fluoride coatings versus oxide in long term vacuum operation a high power deep-ultraviolet enhancement cavity. In ultra-high (10 ?8 mbar), optics can maintain up to 10 W stable intracavity on one hour time scales, record-high at these levels, whereas for optics, we observe rapid degradation lower powers with rate that increases power. After observing vacuum, recover and oxygen; however, this recovery process becomes ineffective after several applications. For see initial UV conditioning an oxygen environment helps improve performances optics. oxygen-rich environments from ?10 ?4 mbar, stably 20 several-hour scales there is immediate decreasing pressure.
